I was raised in South Florida and my daughter and most of my nieces and nephews were born there. I worked right in Sunrise for years. It was rough growing up on the streets of So. Fla. because I had an abusive childhood, poor Trayvon had good parents that cared about him and a home and that life was cut short because someone was on a power trip. It is atrocious to think that they actually let him get away with this, however we know that he will have to stand in front of a much higher court one day and be judged and then his true sentence will be handed down and there will be no loop holes for him to get out of it on. Trayvon will have justice one day maybe sooner or later but he will have it. My prayers are with you and any parent that loses a child to any kind of death. Both sets of my grandparents were predeceased by a child and my father was predeceased by my only sister. God bless you and yours, always know God will have his vengeance. There are no words to express my condolences, no one can know what you are feeling especially after the verdict you had to hear, no justice for your son. We rely on our system ot keep us safe from crimes like this and that is exactly what this was plain and simple a horrendous crime against a young man that had every thing going for him to be ripped from him because someone did not like his looks or the way he walked we will never really know what provoked George Zimmerman to harm Trayvon but we do know our system definitely failed to serve justice for him afterwards.
