I was reading an article online about a new UK advertising campaign called This Girl Can. Its a fantastic new initiative!! It was launched after research showed that 75 per cent of English women would like to be more active. Before the campaign started they looked at what women were saying about why they felt sport and exercise was not for them. Some of the issues included time and cost, were familiar, but one of the strongest themes was a fear of judgment. Worries about being judged for being the wrong size, not fit enough and not skilled enough came up time and again. I can tell you that I USED to feel that same way when I first starting exercising in a gym, I eventually go over it - but I can understand and appreciate it!
