I was reading some dog forum and from curiosity I opened a thread about Saarlois shepherd. There was some argument about their working abilities etc. but what catches my eye is some girl claiming, that she knows exactly what is the difference between fearful tail-between-the-legs dog and dominant tail-high-and-growling dog. I am not sure she does, but thats not the point, the point is I dont. Is there actually such a thing as a aggressive dominant dog? I always imagined dominant as non-aggressive dog that shows his strength with his body and only fights when he is defending him self or someone from his pack. Or does most of the aggression come from scared/cornered/anxious dogs? I did tons of reading on fearful dog subject so I am aware that fear can in basics go to two different directions -> flight or fight. My girl is a flighter so I never put much thought to aggression but I am really curious now :)
