I was recently watching the running cometary on 2001, Space Odyssey, because Im just that kind of geek. I heard it said that, prior to its release in 68, science fiction movies were predominantly b-movies and not too intelligent, silly flying saucers, clunky robots, heavy-handed moral/religious messages, etc. While Im inclined to disagree with this statement, Im wracking my brain trying to come up with names of movies that prove the opposite is true.
