I was running an audition for a female trio in NYC, so in comes this women wearing a long black gypsy skirt and combat boots with a weird haircut, telling me she just wanted to audition but not be in a band, so I said what are you doing here then ? She told me that she was a bass player aside from Carol Kaye I wasnt to familiar with female bass players - She did well enough without me in the long run. James Ekgren
