I was saddened to learn of the passing of a true leader in fire service and a really great man whom I considered a friend. If you look the word dedication up in the dictionary, it will say see Bob McKinney He was know all over as a person who gave his heart and soul to his family, to the people of Lake George and the people of New York state. The thing I like the best about Bob McKinney was that he was a person who did great things, yet he never told you about them... He just plain did things. If Bob grew up in the Facebook age you wouldnt se the Look at me posts from Bob McKinney... He just wasnt like that. Many of his family are friends of mine and I mourn his loss with them. One person, a very dear and great friend of mine, who was a wonderful friend to Bob and a lover of the pipes, Larry Jeffords might agree with me that the song I choose to remember Bob is very fitting....
