I was scrolling on Facebook again and most of you know that I follow multiple LGBT pages. Well, today I came across this one story that involves Leelah Alcorn and Laverne Cox was talking about her story on The View. I was reading the comments and this mothers comment really stuck out in my mind. The mother said, Monica Mclellan: Im a mother of a transgender I might have lost my son but a gained a new daughter and I accept her for what she is..at times it scares me to death what this world has come to...we get stares all the time at first it bothered me only cause im new to all of his changes and Im still learning ..but I never would turn my back on the choices she making ..for her birthday we are legally changing his gender to a she and her new name and proud of her daily ...and jealous cause she does her make up better than me...people need to stop the hate and learn how to love everyone for what they are and stop being so closed minded cause society wants people to be something they are not.
