I was shocked to hear WAYNE ROGERS on Fox News this morning calling for THE IMPEACHMENT of President Obama. Rogers, as you may recall was a moderately successful actor, best known on MASH. Since he left acting, he was and has become INCREDIBLY wealthy, and advises many Hollywood figures (Liberals included) on investments and wealth building. To paraphrase his remarks which shocked his fellow panelists, he cites Incompetence on virtually everything with this President. The bottom line is, that this kind of diatribe I think, accurately describes what many on the right, want to say, but are fearful. The coming election, with massive monies now in play from both sides will be ugly and I think, damaging. Rogers is entitled (at least for now) to express his opinions, but suggesting IMPEACHMENT really crosses the line of thoughtful discourse, and has no basis legally in fact, I.M.O. High Crimes And Misdemeanors is the legal standard, as a matter of fact. While I have been critical on this President, on occasion, as a patriot I am ashamed to hear this word spoken, so casually. The President doesnt deserve it. It is SERIOUS to suggest, First Amendment or not. Speech HAS consequences.
