I was sitting at a long red light, and I looked over and saw a man on a pretty cool looking motorcycle, and he was leaned over, chatting with a guy in a car. The guy in the car was a dark-skinned black man with a big, round face. He was wearing mirrored sunglasses and a hat, so most of his face was covered up. But he had this HUGE smile as he was listening to whatever the guy on the motorcycle was saying to him. Im assuming they were strangers, and I have no way of knowing what they were talking about.....maybe they were talking about the guys cool looking motorcycle? But I just remember the black guy and his big, round face with the huge smile. And I dont know why.....but something about that made me really happy. Just the idea of strangers crossing paths at a random intersection, having a pleasant conversations, and exchanging some laughs and smiles. In a world full of so much devastation, these little moments - and the image of his smiling face in my head - really made my day. And it made me happy that I even noticed. As a result, Im going to try to be more aware of when these little good things happen. Sorry if Im being gay, Lol, but I just wanted to share that with all of you! Its the small things in life....ya know? I guess thats what they mean when they say you have to stop and smell the roses. Just enjoy life, each day. I hope each of you sees your own version of the smiling black man with the round face, and that you can enjoy it too! :-)
