I was so proud of Vivianna at my mothers birthday party and I just have to share! My mother was introducing our family (sisters, children, grandchildren) to everyone seated at the restaurant. Each person stood or waved when she said his/her name. When Vivianna was introduced she immediately said in a nice clear voice the h sound which is how she vocalizes hi! Now this may not seem like a big deal to many but it is. It means that Vivianna was: 1. paying attention to everything that was going on in a large, noisy space 2. picking up on social cues about what other people were doing when my mother said their names 3. responding in a way that she knew was expected/appropriate when she was introduced to people I couldnt be more proud of her!!
