I was so proud of my baby Darby that I had to share. She posted this the other day and these were her comments: "Young children have yet again illustrated that we are not born judgmental, racist, prejudiced, hateful, or discriminatory but, rather, are taught through social, parental, or environmental means. Racial slurs and hateful words and comments towards others are NOT okay even if they are only meant to be funny; it just makes it okay for others to use them in a hateful manner against one another. Every person whether black, white, purple, yellow, green, gay, straight, transgender, man, woman, Christian, Jewish, Atheist, Muslim, or disabled are all equal. EVERYONE matters. I am so very thankful that my parents have shown, through their amazing example, that people through all walks of life deserve kindness, generosity, equality, and happiness. Underneath the race, religion, or social background of each individual, we are all no different. We all cry, we all sing, we all dance, we all laugh, we all gaze up at the same moon every now and then and let our minds wander, and most of all we all have within us the ability to love." WOW!!!
