I was so sorry to leave work yesterday but my arthritis had never flared quite like this. Hands were so swollen and more deformed that I couldnt type or even write a note. Thank goodness Dr. Askari, my brilliant rheumatologist squeezed me in. He said the I had arthritis associated with Secondary Sjögren syndrome, an autoimmune disease. He injected my hands and hips, put me on naprosyn and prednisone (there goes the diet). I was sore throughout the day but woke up with such improvement. Keep me down - I want to dance to Christmas Carols. Not fully there yet, but today is spent at the hospital for bloodwork and getting X-rays from head to toe. Then Im back to work tomorrow. Thanks to all the well wishers out there. I am recovering sooooo well. And for those who may suffer from osteoarthritis not caused by previous injury and have been tested for dry eye and mouth, I will put a link to help keep you informed of the many forms of arthritis out there. I am so happy, I could cry,
