I was stopped by two teachers today to ask if I could tell stories soon for their classes. The first was traditional holiday storytelling but the second was the science teacher. Im working up a quick backstory for a 4th grade science unit on testing a mysterious white powder. The headquarters for SFT, Scientists for Truth, has been infiltrated despite their supremely, eminently, veritably, indubitably, absolutely, inordinately, exorbitantly, notably, quotably secure location. We have three sets of suspects, each with their own dastardly detailed plans, and each having been spotted engaging in white powder activities (baking cookies, mixing up plaster, baking cakes). The story contains in-jokes for the school in question and forms a narrative that will carry them through the activity. What else could you use your friendly neighborhood storyteller for?
