I was talking to someone this morning and thought Id chuck it up here for everyone. Ive got three litters coming up plus a preggers. Opal - 6 weeks, Pearl - 3 weeks, Missy 1 week and Akara is preggers. I generally keep at least 4 from a litter for myself for future breeding. With Opal (x Jet), Im not sure if Ill be releasing them or not for another couple of weeks. I had to pts a few from her litter due to rattles. The water bottle got stuck and she lost a lot of weight at... 2/3 weeks. I pumped her full of ensure and she bounced back. I think it might have affected some of the bubs though. So I have about 5 left who all seem healthy. Just want to keep an eye on them for a bit longer before I decide if any leave me. Black berks, no ma, no aggression. Mated at 9/10 months. Opal has otherwise been healthy, Jet had a sniffle about a month ago after mating but was fine with no meds. Is 100% now. Pearl (x Jet) - All healthy They are going well. Pearl is Jet and Opals mum. Black berks and selfs. No MA, no aggression. Mated at about a year old for pearl and 9/10 months for Jet. Pearl has had a sniffle in the past but was fine with no meds. She has a permenant nose snuffle due to a short face. Had that ever since I got her at 8 weeks. Jet had a sniffle about a month ago after mating but was fine with no meds. Is 100% now. Missy (x Soup) - Initial outcross. No Ma, no aggression. Mated at 10 months. Missy 100% health. Soup has had a sniffle after mating but was fine again with no meds. As for Akara, I might have a rainbow of things. She is het for everything (pe, re, blue) and the son (frank) I put her to may or may not be as well. He is champagne. Akara was mated at about 16 months, Frank about 7. He was sick and given meds at 3 months but has been fine since then. The only reason I am mating these are because they both have a strange soft coat and I want to explore it further. Franks father, Arratoi was pts at 10 months due to being ill I dont think Ill be releasing any at this stage due to health. See how they go.
