I was talking with my children ( 10 and 13 ) about reincarnation in the restaurant. Just like the majority of my country Japan, my life philosophy is very much under the influence of the basic principal of Buddhism ( Karma, Spiritual progress, Compassion, Reincarnation etc etc ) even though I eat meat and not a practically strict buddhist. This philosophy really help me a lot to digest the most of the daily problem peacefully and calmly. I never force my belief on them, but just giving them ideas of what my people had been believing for centuries.Then a western guy stepped in to the conversation, aggressively concluded There is no such a thing as reincarnation to kids, then braved me how idiotic mother I am to teach children utter nonsense and bullshit such as reincarnation . I was totally shocked. I think any discussion on the issue like this should be done with the basic respect to the each other, even you are against to the idea, not with aggressive denial ? He added this - Anything the science cant proof, thats all bullshit - thus, spirit or reincarnation etc are all bloody bullshit ,,, :-( Im curious how my FB friends say on this ?
