I was thinking all Ive accomplished this year since I put my nose to the grindstone with my art. Heres what I came up with. 1. Completed TWO Thirty paintings in thirty days challenges for a grand total of completed 60 paintings. Thank you Leslie Saeta. (But Ive done more besides during that time.) 2. Started doing pet portraits with the encouragement of my friend Jamel Reissinger, who in turn got me involved with #3. 3. I have begun to paint K9 portraits for officers partners whom have been hurt or killed in the line of duty. 4. Ive started myself a business. Thanks hubby. 5. Ive started Art Beat Online! to help encourage other artists. 6. Ive created my own website. 7. Ive learned a lot about web promotion, and Im still learning. 8. Ive gotten my artwork on several sites to sell. 9. Ive recreated my art studio in a smaller space. (The hardest by far.) 10. Ive set up the ability to accept credit cards on my website. 11. I made my first teaching video...although it was awful, it may have helped others. 12. Ive learned the website, PicMonkey. 13. Ive started doing portraits live again. 14. Ive decided and got the ball rolling to go back into teaching. (Not in a school but at an art center.) 15. Im doing commissioned portraits once again. 16. Ive sold work...online, on here and in person and from my website. Now who dares to call me lazy. Oh, and by the way, I MOVED this year too! Almost forgot...I volunteered to paint a mural at my church. Dont know when it will occur, but theyre thrilled. I did one years ago...it should prove interesting since aging about 15 years since the last one.
