I was thinking last night about a question which sooner or later - TopicsExpress

I was thinking last night about a question which sooner or later arises for anyone who looks into the world philosophical/ religious systems and beliefs, the question being.. which is the right one... or which is the most advanced. Some of the standard answers are ... what ever feels right, or your truth is what you choose to believe etc. I feel some of those answers are a bit rhetorical and there is a lot of commentary offered form those who have distilled their opinions from either a single faith or a general impression they receive from observations of different religious/ philosophical groups. In my discussions with people on these topics I find very little reading and contemplation has been undertaken by some of the loudest voices, perhaps as the quiet ones are too busy reading and contemplating to comment. Its an area a bit like the music industry. One sees on shows like the voice some amazing talent, but also contenders who clearly have not the self analysis to perceive they are out of tune etc. My FB music playing friends would all have had the experience of a novice muscling in on a gig wanting to wow the audience with an AC DC guitar intro, regardless of the gig being a dining atmosphere, or someone insisting they know the repertoire the crowd desire and loudly proclaiming it in the middle of an empty dance floor whilst the rest of the room eat peacefully and avoid eye contact with the subject. I am sure a brain surgeon would be confused if a drunkard walked into the theater and demanded to have a go So to continue my point it has also my my observation that when playing music with a more basic musician, the more advanced players simplify their playing and work in with the lowest denominator, as otherwise the discordant bashing of the unfortunate musical instrument would create an intolerably un-harmonious result. It is also a general tendency of novice musicians to be so focused on their own playing that their neither seem to hear the other musicians and are only interested in how they sound...often manifesting as excessive volume to boot. Lying in bed last night pondering the question i began this blog with an answer came to me, though i reserve the right of expressing it as an opinion... and only that.(and i would only express it in a secular nation) An advanced religious or philosophical system would have to be characterized by its tolerance and acceptance of other systems, and be able to absorb and accommodate other systems. It would be capable of primitive simplicity but also contain higher thought, whereas exclusive systems would have to be considered less evolved and advanced, and possibly a less credible representation of truth.
