I was thinking of how we are fascinated with the macabre, and love the adrenaline rush that we get from being frightened on Halloween, watching horror movies and reading scary books. As one who has stared death in the face, and seen enough blood, gore, guts and suffering as a former hospice nurse, I get no pleasure in the fear-factor, anymore. Ive seen death, up close and personal. I choose to celebrate life, for real, and not just a fantasized version of it. Just my random thoughts.
