I was told that all my friends werent able to see a status I shared on Friday from my cousins page. So here I am reposting it... I have several friends and family members who are veterans and this letter speaks truth!! Thank you all for your service!! Stupid government shutdown, when will america wake up and take back our country? Our government should fear us, not we, the people fearing it. I gave the United States of America the best years of my life and my health. I never questioned or protested. I gave all I had to give and when the call came I answered ever single time. I do not live a life of extravagance or glamour. I never asked for favors. I never made excuses. You have never seen me in front of the cameras. Never have I been responsible for declaring a war. Never have I basked in the glory of victory, taking credit for a job well done. I was willing to die for you. I wrote a check for the sum of my life just in case you needed it. I laid my brothers to rest when they died in your place. You may not know me, but you know of me. You may have never seen or know what I have done for you. That just means I did my job well. I was willing to make violence on your behalf. I stood guard while you slept. Who am I? I am a veteran and right now our government is breaking its word to me. -Wade Boothe.
