I was trying to compile a list of the good movies with themes that revolve around dancing. The names that came to my mind : 1. Saturday Night fever, Grease : Who can compile a list without it and there is nothing that has not been said about Travolta. 2. Flash Dance - Boy, Can we forget the magical Irene Cara which went on to win an Academy award. 3. Dirty Dancing - Patrick Swazye didnt deserve to die that early. His dancing to say the least was mesmerizing. 4. Dirty Dancing 2 - I wasnt sure if this movie would match the original without Patrick. But Diego Luna, the Handsome Cuban has dancing in his blood. He matched Patrick step for step. Sometimes he even outdid him. 5.Billy Elliot- about the typical stereotypes of male ballet dancing. I liked it for the sheer presentation. High School. Zach Efron is a star no doubt. But somehow the theme failed to touch a chord. Maybe I am old. Any more Suggestions?
