I was unable to mourn last week at the loss of Mr. Robin Williams as my family and I were otherwise occupied celebrating life and each other on an epic road trip. However, my heart has been heavy. The tragic ending of his life here is a sad reminder that perhaps many walk through this existence we call life in pain. I dont know that anything anyone in his life might have done could have changed his outcome. But Im redoubling my efforts to share more kind words, more frequent smiles, and more genuine hugs with those I love. I dont fear death (not that I welcome it, either). But I do fear living a life in pain. Heres to giving just a little bit more to each other. Heres to lifting each other up. Heres to mourning with those that mourn and comforting those that stand in need of comfort. I choose to believe, and live according to the belief, that we can make a difference.
