I was up till 5am working on a bday project for beloved. With only 2 hours of sleep, much still got accomplished today including cooking dinner and making these Back to School bags. I inserted these prayer cards and wish/goal list card in the bags. We passed around the prayer cards and every child along with us parents wrote a prayer on the card. It was super sweet seeing them write a prayer for one another. On the wish/goal list card we asked the kids to challenge themselves by doing something hard this year in school. Some wrote down doing their homework every day, others wanted straight As, some wanted to read a chapter book just because and so on. They handed that card to us parents and at the end of the year, they will get rewarded big for any goal they kept :) pretty neat, huh? On another note, our dinner table wasnt full and it tugged at my heart :( my 18yr old is no longer with us and our 13 yr old decided she wanted to hang with friends instead :( gosh, they grow up fast! I guess that means more pie for us from The Flying Saucer...yum!
