I was walking into Kroger from the parking lot. An elderly African American had trouble getting a buggy out and I pushed it in for him. He dropped his keys in the entry way and I picked them up and handed them to him. He thanked me:So I did my shopping... Picked up a few things. Standing in line the same elderly gentleman was behind me... With one young person in between. I asked the cashier if she could get me a can of Skoal. The younger person behind me started cursing at me for holding up the line for 30 seconds.... Pretty much every white slur word there was. The elderly African American gentleman in back of him grabbed him by his collar and scolded him "I know your mother... I know your grandmother... To earn respect you show respect.". The young man apologized. Walked the old man out and put his groceries in the car. 70 year old preacher. I said "thanks". He said "no.... Thank you"
