Man dies from parking garage fall Downtown By Michael Hasch Published: Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, 9:51 p.m. A man who either jumped or fell from a Downtown parking garage has died, a spokesman for the Allegheny County Medical Examiners Office said. Benjamin Tokich, 22, who lived in a Downtown apartment, died at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday at UPMC Mercy, the spokesman said. An autopsy is scheduled Wednesday. The incident occurred at 7:53 p.m. Monday when witnesses saw the man land on the sidewalk across the street from a strip club on Ninth Street. Witnesses said they believe he came from the top level of the parking garage. Pittsburgh homicide detectives are investigating. Michael Hasch is a staff writer for Trib Total Media.
