I wasnt very active on FB before Neve and Nolan came along, I didnt even have a FB until less than a year before they were born. Before then I wasnt very interested and really didnt want to be involved. And then one year ago, Neve Aria and Nolan Jude were born in a chaotic whirlwind of crazy. And life changed. Drastically. I was a person that cherished my privacy and kept my life as peaceful as possible. But the extremely early and scary arrival of two tiny babies weighing less than 2 pounds each changed me. I needed each of you, whether I knew you before or have come to know you since, your thoughts, prayers, encouragement and presence in my life and in Neve and Nolans lives have carried us. All of us. Neve and Nolan came into this world with parents and three older siblings ready and having waited so long for them. Each of us has been fortunate in our relationships and friendships to be accompanied through the good and the difficult that has been Nolan and Neves journey. To family, friends, NICU nurses, family of friends, friends of friends, etc. my deepest, most heartfelt thank you and wherever you are today, have a treat and celebrate Neve Aria and Nolan Judes First Birthday with us in spirit! We will celebrate when the days are warm and sunny and two babies are far less likely to fall ill. As for me, I am letting the memories of that day and those hard NICU days that followed wash over me. I have and will continue to shed many tears today. I hope Allison, Tucker and Bleu know that they are the best big sisters and big brother. I love you each so much and am so thankful you are mine. Karyn you are my sister, you have gifted me a miracle, times two. Brian you held us together and gave me your spot in the OR to witness their births. Trevor, wish you were here, just as you were last year in that waiting room. Happy First Birthday to Neve and Nolan! Mommy loves you.
