I watch from hiding as the strange craft slowly descends from high above in a shower of bright lights and lands. There is no sound at all other than the rhythmic pounding of my own pulse as I look on in wonder and amazement at the creatures that are now erupting from within. They look like us, but yet, we have no craft the likes of what my eyes are gazing upon at this moment. I am scared, but filled with excitement at the same time. I’m seeing a real live alien! My thoughts no sooner wander to what they might talk like when one of them speaks and to my great amazement I can understand them. Their language is the same as ours. Who are these creatures and where are they from? Why do they come here? Do they mean us harm? My mind is spinning and filled with all kinds of unanswered questions. I always thought that if I ever got the chance I’d like to go for a ride on a UFO but knew it would probably never happen. Our government tells us there is no such thing, but now I know better! I cautiously take the chance of a lifetime and make my presence known hoping I am going to live to tell about it. To my surprise I am greeted with warmth as if I were one of them or a long lost relative. We talk for what seems like forever, they tell me strange tales about places they have been and explain to me that they mean no harm to anyone, but will not give me that ride I had thought about. Soon, after much conversation, they say it is time for them to go. They have to continue on their trip home. I ask where they are from and they tell me it’s a planet far away that I probably never heard of. They come from a planet called Earth.
