I watched a kid get reprimanded for being 3 minutes late to school today (at my kids school). Hes in 4th grade. When I gently confronted the office aid person about it, saying it was not the kid she should have reprimanded, she snapped, its a different situation! Call me crazy but I dont envision ANY situation a kid should be yelled at for his tardiness at this age. I guarantee that lady doesnt yell at his parents. Displaced anger much? Yech. ALL KIDS DESERVE BETTER THAN THIS IN EDUCATION. All educators should remind themselves what their intention is before stepping foot in their jobs (schools)! I will remind myself too! End rant.
