I watched the movie Gods Not Dead tonight. It was a good movie, but I felt a little uncomfortable while watching it. It seemed that in an attempt to prove that God exists, the student turned to facts and quotes to back up credibility for ideas such as creationism and evolution. As good as his arguments were, and even though I agreed, I feel that his factual arguments only proved the possibility that God exists, instead of how alive God is today, even in our daily lives. God did not only create us and die for us, but He is real and He loves us and helps us. There are powerful miracles every single day wrought by faith in Him! Not only is God not dead, but he speaks and he touches the lives and hearts of many. His power defies all logic and mortal understanding and often can only be felt by someone who has opened their heart. God does not need to be proved, He is evident in everything we are, and everything around us. There are facts for and against every opinion-based thing in our lives, and if we confine ourselves to them, we will be spinning logical circles. Only when we open our hearts will we be able to see and know without a doubt the reality of our Father who loves and cares for us. Just some thoughts.
