I watched this video and thought about the choices Ive made and how I deliberately decided to be happy. It started a very long time ago, before I was even ten and in retrospect if there is anything I can share with you it is the importance of staying positive and happy. I thought when bad things happened I must have done something to deserve it, or did something to warrant it, so it was important not to talk about it, not to focus on it, but rather focus on being happy, to know I could rely on me to do that. I would not let the nasty things, the difficulties that I endured, mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually discolour my present. When things were tough and they were, I would remind myself with the words of the Desiderata, you are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars, you have a right to be here, and whether or not it is clear to you the universe is unfolding as it should. I continue to put on my rose coloured glasses and like PrettyKelli I choose to tell a beautiful story. I decide who the players are, and the ones that have done wrong, that have no place on my stage. I give them no energy, and I forgive me and I forgive them.
