I went into the forest after work. It felt so good. Daisy and I walked around for about an hour and a half. I was hoping for boletes and chanterelles, but found hedgehogs. Its bitter sweet. Hedgehogs are so good but seem to come on after the huge flush of boletes. Seems like once they show up its harder for me to find boletes. Today was also the first time I came up on other mushroom hunters way out off the trail, kinda surprised me. Then I surprised a beautiful 4 point buck. He looked grand, like Bambis Dad. Tonights dinner, a mushroom stroganoff cream sauce over hamburger pattys served over a blend of red &black rice with quinoa. It really came out good.
