I went perching again today. The weather is too nice not to enjoy. The perch were biting as usual, but for the first half hour they kept stealing my bait. I finally started hooking them and caught well over 20 again today. There was lots of activity at King Salmon beach today. There was bunch of children playing in the sand, dogs being walked on leashes and dogs running free chasing balls and playing with other dogs. Buddy made a new friend while I was fishing. I thought he was going home with them since he was starting to follow them back to their car. Wiggles initially was hanging with Buddy on shore, but he wanted to be with me on the kayak so I peddled up to the rocks and he jumped aboard. There were a couple of pelicans dive bombing on bait that kept boiling at the surface. I was never able to identify the bait, but it was bright silver and 6-8 long. A harbor seal came to check out all the activity too. I caught a pile perch today which was a new species off the yak. I hope to get into more pile perch since they are the biggest perch we have up here. I didnt get any AOTY upgrsdes, but I caught several over 12.
