I went shopping yesterday, so in a classic move the day ended with me saying a bunch of terrible things about myself and bursting into tears, so today it’s the POSITIVE CHALLENGE! “See the best in the world, don’t say anything negative all day.” Today has, of course, already started off with some difficulties due to the fact that it is MORNING, not generally my favourite time of the day, but when forced to embrace it I realize that it’s pretty great to have my first cup of coffee for the day, get to kiss my love goodbye as he heads off to work, and hangout with the dog with an “unbreakable spirit.” And a positive thing I can say about mornings in general: you’ve still got the whole day ahead of you- one that is still pretty much full of possibilities! I’m going to challenge myself to not put my negative words out into the world, which can tend to bring other people down, to not put on my negative face which tends to have the same effect, but to also keep my negative inner monologue to a minimum which tends to bring me down. I invite you to join in my challenge, as we can probably all use a break from being negative now and then, and to really give ourselves the chance to see the best in the world. Can you do it? And if you’re so inclined, you can make a donation to an organization that is trying to make the world a better place, letting more people see how wonderful it is every day. But donation or not, what wonderful things do you have to say about the world today? I’d love to hear them.
