I went with Jimmy to his physical therapy today & boy was it an eye opener! I learned some things that I can do at home with him to help him but more importantly I learned that 1) the physical therapists at Memorial Hermann are AMAZING! You can really tell when someone genuinely enjoys what they do and how much they are just as involved in the process as the patient is. 2) How strong willed he is. Even though it sucked to see him in pain he would throw me a smile & I know he did that just to comfort me. 3) Just how amazing he is! I already knew this (bc who in their right mind would leave their own bon fire at their house to help me build a 250 piece Lego set with an excited little boy who didnt care if mommy got any sleep lol) but his determination to get back to 100% so that he can get back to his normal routine of being a hard worker and daddy who can run around with our kiddos as quickly as possible is far beyond anything words can describe. 4) How proud I am of him. As much as his accident has changed our lives we both know it has brought us closer and stronger together as a family. Last night he stood up and walked from his wheelchair to the recliner and Hayden was so excited about it! We love you darlin! And were all proud of you and every step you take, even toe steps, is a step in the right direction! :)
