I will start by saying that I do not love cats, I do not like cats, in fact, I loathe cats. I could go the rest of my life never seeing a cat...until my new boss says Jackie, you have 4 girls...follow me. I thought oh no, what is she about to show me. As we were walking to her office she says, it would hurt her heart to think that (and before she finished I knew...it was a cat). It was actually a kitten still, I guess. We named her Noelle (since she showed up at Knoe). I remember Mark telling me how all Piper and Bebe could talk about is that cat at Nonies. So I thought, hmmm. Its a pretty cat, and seems sweet, for a cat. So I go get the big girls from dance and we go back to work to get the cat. All was good, they loved Noelle. So we get in the car to go home to show Mark, Piper and Bebe, Noelle. We quickly learned that Noelle does not like riding in a car. The girls start freaking out as the cat, (not sweet Noelle anymore), hisses and makes sounds, and climbing from the front to the back, as the girls climbed opposite of where the cat was going. Thank God I took Louisville and not I 20. Because now the cat is freaking me out. I knew I never liked a cat! I call Mark as the girls are screaming, Mallory is crying and praying Lord please help us. I tell Mark he has got to meet us somewhere so maybe Piper and Bebe can handle this cat for the rest of the way home. I pull over at a gas station and my big girls literally jump out of my car while I was still going. Im hollering at them, scared to death of that dam cat myself, and telling Mark you have got to come get this dam cat. Well he is on his way. In the meantime, I make them get back into the car...Then I see the cat shoot out of my car. Im am thinking this is just great. My boss wanted a warm safe place and a loving family for Noelle, and we didnt make it 5 miles before we lost her. Mark gets there with Piper and Bebe. He goes to work and is not studying no cat. Piper and Bebe find out what happened and started getting upset and getting on to their big sisters. So I drive around calling a cat, as Piper and Bebe are as well. Paige and Mallory REFUSED to call that cat. I dont even know how to call a cat. They are not like dogs, obviously. I figured I could just tell my boss that the cat is great and she will never know we lost her. Then Piper spots her, and gets her! Whew!!!! And that cat just sat in her lap like a car ride was nothing to it. I dont have valium...but I sure could have used 2 during all of that. Lesson: Just say No mam! Lol
