I woke up this morning,to quickly browse through todays news headlines before I start preparing for the day business(church and the rest). Suprisingly, this was the first headline i saw: • Four pregnant women, 15 others die at Immigration recruitment. Oh my God! This bokoharam people again. Why do they just derive pleasure in killing innocent beings. So they went to attack those that were writing the immigration exam. These were some of the enormous statement that came out of my mouth, immediately I saw it. I hurriedly clicked on Read More, to get the whole picture of incidence. But, to my utmost suprise, it wasnt insurgency by any sect. People were badly injured and some died because of their wish to serve and contribute to the socio-economy well being of this country by acquiring a Job. - About 2 million people filled the Nigerian Immigration form online, and were equally mandated to pay a non- refundable 1000 naira. -700000 candidates were shortlisted for the Aptitude Test, out of which,less than 5000 people will be opportuned to get the Job. I make bold to say that more than 60 percent of this 5000 are already selected; consequences of Nepotism, corruption, tribalism and the rest. Its lugibrous and disheartening that more than 690000 able Nigerians are lobying for just 2000 vacancy. And one begin to wonder: what type of Education we are acquiring in this country? What type of leaders we have? And what the future holds for this Country? RIP; to those who lost their dear lives in the incident. Posterity will judge and Nemesis will catch; to the looters of our economy, and those who contributed to these casualty. Self Employment is the solution in a society like ours; to my fellow youths.
