I wonder what God is trying to tell me with this kind of immersion in my homestay with a Korean family to have an experience of their culture in preparation for the AYD. :) God is so generous and He never fails to manifest it to me, in many different ways. :) One of my reflections was, South Korea is a first world country. Almost 40 years ago, they were far behind the Philippines. I was told by my foster dad, when he was a kid, their family was struggling to survive. Until the election of former President Park Chung-hee, who ruled South Korea for almost two decades. He was a visionary. He was not corrupt. He has made a lot of good investments on South Koreas natural and human resources. Today, the rest is history. Its current leader, her daughter, President Park Geun-hye is the first female leader of a country that has the highest level of gender inequality in the developed world. I learned, she too like her father is not corrupt. She has a vision for her country. She has a political will. These kind of leaders are what our country needs. Lets continue praying. Lets continue hoping. I am certain, the day will once again come where our country will be the envy of other countries especially on this part of the world. :) Wala lang. :) #AYD #SeeYouPopeFrancis #AdmiringSouthKorea
