I would appreciate some thoughts on putting out oxides for students and studio members to paint or decorate with. It was something I was taught as a student and I never had considered it before until the issues of safetly and cost (cobalt has been as high as $80/lb) seem to be topics of discussion. I am trying to decide that if I do continue to put it out for general use, how dilute can I make it to save the studio money but still make it usable. Should I just suggest to members that they buy and keep their own oxides or stains for decorating... So thoughts on the matter please.
