I would like to believe this was my first RAOK though it was several months ago. My good friend who runs a pit rescue in LA, came across Penelope who was on a chain in the middle of a marijuana field in CA. He needed transport. So my friend from CA got her to me and we then did the road trip of 3 days to get her to LA. An amazing vet there took great care of her. She was full of heart worms and many lbs of fluid. They gave her love and many months of quality life. Sad to report just a few weeks ago her heart gave out. But I helped her have a loving home during her final months. I hope to have many more random acts of kindness in the near future...
