I would like to educate anyone interested on the different methods to making cake pops. Sometimes people will think that cake pops are RAW or UNDERCOOKED and that is simply not the case (At least with me it isnt) There are 2 different ways to make cake pops. First method isHand rolling (1st picture) is where you bake the cake (Fully) and then crumble it till it is very fine and then frosting is combined with it to give a cookie dough like texture. It is then dipped and decorated and Voila! The 2nd method (2nd picture) is using a cake pop machine or silicon pan. With this method, small amounts of cake batter are placed into round fillings and baked. It is then dipped and decorated as well. I do not prefer this method because I have yet to find either option of instrument that makes perfectly round balls and they tend to fall off the stick in dipping process. ALSO....THE CAKE IS JUST DAMN DRY.....I MEAN DRIER than a dry munchkin or donut hole. (To each his own though!!) I do not critique other cake poppers who use this method but I do not. I say all this to say that I care SOOOOOOOOO much about my customers and potential customers that I NEVER EVER EVER want them to think I would serve anything RAW or UNCOOKED! (Dats just nasty!!!! LOL) Thanks for listening and this public service announcement has been sponsored by Jills Sweet Treats jillssweettreats.etsy
