I would like to express my own personal views on this topic, and hopefully this reaches congress and the appropriate audience. I have never voiced my opinion on or in any stage like this up until now. I have been interested in Wolves as a little kid, and a few years later I got the chance to meet them face to face in a sanctuary in Ipswich Mass. The staff was very informative and I found it to be eye-opening. I strongly believe that the government should NOT take off the ban on them, and should KEEP them covered under the Endangered Species act. The gray wolf needs to replenish its numbers here in the North-East and West Coast as well. The Gray Wolf and the Mexican Wolf should have much more time to get back into natures balancing act, and assimilate themselves into their desired areas of population. We should not allow hunters/poachers to kill any of these animals for sport, and if they do,should be punishable by legal/law means. I have a passion to work with these animals when my finances and career is all set, and hope to do more for them. We as an American family oriented society adapted much of our own values from them. These animals believe in a strong sense of pack "family", allowing seniors to eat first, children to be taken care of, and respect for the ill. They do not hunt down more than they only need to survive, by nature a wolf is not aggressive towards man in, they are more likely to run from us.
