I would like to go on record (as a reminder to myself): 35 has seemed like the longest year of my life, and I am very appreciative of that. It was a good year. #4 was born and her first word was Da-Da #3 consumes more than just chicken nuggets and hot dog now...and he uses the toilet. Im not a religious man, but thank God. #2 stopped sucking his thumb and reads like a champ. #1 is becoming a young woman. She looks more grown up everyday. Year eleven of marriage turned out to be about the same as year one...we still got it baby. The cookie business boomed! I now fear I may have to give up the pants. I became the proud owner an original Ciccotello...Two actually. I joined Twitter and Instagram ...although I still dont know what their purpose is. My childdren saw me cry for the first time when we lost my Uncle. And again when I lost a mentor and my puppy on the same day. They will all remain in my heart. I helped raise money for a good cause. I was brave enough, and comfortable enough with myself to wear a spandex body suit in front of 500 people...With very little reasoning behind it. I made real progress on my music studio. I killed two vampires...before they could take on their human form. Perhaps the most frightening moments for me...laugh if you must. I reached a milestone of 14 years at work and now fully understand where Izzy was coming from. Played golf for the first time in years. Realize I still dont enjoy it. Shot a 122...I still think that was a low estimate of my actual performance. Started reading digital books but still refuse to read literature on them. Started doing good things for people without telling anyone about it. Tried Fire Roasted Tomato and Olive Oil Triskets...Mychael Knight was right those are delicious. Inadvertently dissed a talented guy that I deeply respect. I hope he forgives me. Switched to LED...made my wife climb the ladder for the really high ones. Started actually sitting down...in a beach chair, when we go down the shore. I no longer have to chase the kids all over, they kinda stay in one general vicinity. I watched #1s face on her first trip into NYC. Wrote a song for the first time in a long time. ...And since my year is almost up, as my last effort as a 35 year old, I pledge to enjoy 36 just as much....cause I hear 37 is rough!
