I would like to pose a question to the community that has arisen - TopicsExpress

I would like to pose a question to the community that has arisen in my recent experiences. It may divide or unite posters so be cautious how you respond. A university lecturer renowned in his/her field of arts for excellence and round the world experience. They suddenly discover that their students are teaching other students what they have learned from the lecturer and perhaps even other places. They tell the offending students to not teach other students what they have learned on this subject matter as it could corrupt the main teachings due to lack of experience or rejection of the primary teaching methods. The student obliges as it the student wants to continue learning from the lecturer, and the influence/social power the lecturer has could make the students life more difficult. My question is should the student keep teaching what they have learned with the rich and diverse streams of education and experience they have garnered even though they are unofficially under-qualified or even worse could be wrong, different or a looser more casual method than the source material OR Respect the lecturers wishes to confine the teaching to their classes only as they are the most qualified, experienced with the core methods and will have an undiluted and in their opinion the higher quality and more elaborate form of education? Parameter: Both are outside the lecturers classroom, but the lecturer can witness the student teaching.
