I would like to say a huge thank you to the random guy whom I approached yesterday to help me get enough money for a ferry ride to Balmain to go to my friends Christmas party. I had gone to my work Xmas party for lunch but left my purse at the office for safekeeping. However, when I left the restaurant there wasnt enough room in the taxi for all of us, so not thinking clearly, I figured Instead of going to the office, i would just walk to Circular Quay. After a nice twenty minute walk, I arrived and went to go grab money out of my non existent purse. I hadnt realised until that point that I HAD NO MONEY, No Purse, nothing except for my leftover crappy risotto. I had no way to go get my purse even if I felt like walking another half hour to the office because my keys are also in my purse. So I did what any self respecting lady would do-- I found a group of handsome men and humbly asked them to help me by giving me six dollars for the fare. One fella just looked at me and said, honey, dont worry. We got you covered. Then he hands me $30. I told him all I needed was $6 but he insisted I take it because it was Christmas. So Happy Holidays to me! I made it to the party with a net profit of $24 dollars. Life is good!
