I would like to share something that has helped me in life, - TopicsExpress

I would like to share something that has helped me in life, something that has been on my heart since about 2001. I have really discovered, that in the journey of success, you need your head more than your heart. Its the head, stupid! Anything else follows this. This is something I have tested over and over and over again, and surely it works. As someone has said, your head has you by the balls. How true. In your head lies wisdom, which we all yearn for. The ability to think and decide. In the heart lies feelings, emotion, etc. But we all know that sometimes we dont follow our feelings in making the right decisions. For instance, when its time to shower (note that Ive said when not if), sometimes the weather is against you, its cold everywhere, but surely you have to go to shower. The same with brushing your teeth, going to work, etc. Sometimes we dont feel like it but we have to do it. We dont follow our feelings but our heads. This is actually the major reason why many are broke, and cant seem to really solve their problems - the problem lies in the head. And, again, many of us think we are wise but actually we are not. It takes humility to acknowledge what we lack. Solomon was one man, a king already, but in his prayer, he acknowledged his lack of wisdom (I wonder how many heads of state, heads of departments, heads of tribes, heads of associations, heads of families, etc) can acknowledge their lack of wisdom - very few. But therein lies the problem: until you recognise your problem, how can you take conscious steps to rectify it? They all think they are wise, even when their wisdom has not produced any results. Wisdom is defined as the ability to know whats right and do it. Its a 2-pronged thing. KNOWING what to do and, DOING it. Have you seen so many advisors and teachers of this world, who teach others to succeed but they themselves are poor? Having interacted with so many academicians of this world, I used to ask myself why are Professors poor? And I discovered that they have knowledge but they lack wisdom. They seem to know the first part but they come poor on the second. Theyre KNOWERS but not DOERS. Some even hide their ignorance by saying, I would have done alot but I lack the capital to start such and such a business But wisdom is your capital, ladies and gentlemen. Money is not necessarily your capital. let this sink down your heads folks. Wisdom is your capital. If wisdom is in operation, it will lead you to the right persons, make the right calls, and start right. In one of my next posts, I will talk of how to activate wisdom (and its not only through prayer as some think)....
