I would like to share this video of my son, (grandson of Olita Aitson Tsatoke) Dakota Aitson. He is 17 & was just recently invited to be the youngest speaker at Eastern Michigan University Undergraduate Symposium. He chose to speak about his people in a presentation titled The Kiowa Before & After the Europeans Arrival. I am so proud of him for his accomplishment & his passion to inform others about the tribe. Even so far north of our tribal lands, he is ensuring that his people are not ignored or forgotten. Despite Dakota being below the tribes mandated quantum, I hope that one day the quantum will be lowered so him & others like him can be recognized by the tribe. Our young are our greatest resource & will some day carry out our traditions.
