I would like to take the time to announce that I have decided to run as a Democrat for NC Congress District 12 in 2016. The primary is over a year away, however, I have decided to start my campaign in an effort to utilize all possible time. If everything goes according to plan it will be the largest volunteer congressional campaign in history. For the past fifteen years I have practiced in the field of information technology where I became a subject matter expert in cyber security and ethical hacking. I used my expertise to ensure our government, telecommunication, energy, banking, and healthcare systems are secure. As we all know the largest threat to our way of life lies within cyber space where attacks can happen in a blink of an eye and the impact can be catastrophic. I have worked or contracted for several Fortune 50 companies along with high profile government entities where I utilized my expertise. I also have trained or assisted many individuals with their careers and aspirations. I also have vast experience in the real estate and financial markets. I have managed renovation projects and investment strategies before, during, and after the mortgage crisis. I am going to use my expertise to influence much needed policy, regulations, and bills to ensure our great nation has the foresight to prepare for the future. I would also like to take a moment to talk about my struggles. There were times when I could not make my mortgage payments. There were times when I would decide what bill I would pay that month. There were times I would wonder if I would find another job. There was even a time when I was on unemployment and wondered what I would do when it ended. Despite all the setbacks I persevered and never gave up. I want everyone to remember: Received Unemployment? Ive Been There! Worried About That Bill Payment? Ive Been There! Concerned About Putting Food on the Table? Ive Been There! Anyone in the United States can volunteer in some capacity with today’s technology. Also any donation is valued and appreciated no matter what value.
