I would like to thank Beau Huston, Russell Thompson, Christi Moore, Gary Yewell, Chuck Payne, all the other people I met and especially Keith Murt for making my inaugural experience at the Beacon Dragway Park a great experience last night. I am very lucky to have friends introduce me to captive voters who are nice people that quickly dispense with the politics to explain what just happened on the strip. Rumor was Dr. Grow was doing the play-by-play in what I would call a drag stand but I was unable to confirm and talk to him because it was the only place on campus that seemed kinda off limits. Drag racing is the only sport where a schmuck like me can buy a ticket and mingle with the drivers in the pits. Its the drag racing equivalent to taking BP with Derek Jeter after buying a bleacher seat. Amazing. Had a such a great time, I forgot to take any pictures.
