I would like to thank all who have wished me a happy birthday. I am now officially an old age pensioner but will have to keep working to write a few more books so no pension. I would like to wish my Kiwi brother a happy birthday today as we were born on the same day seperated by the Tasman Sea. Not sure if Bruce beat me into the world that day 65 years ago. I am a bit stiff and sore from 13 hours on the fire ground yesterday in a place called Pillar Valley. Shared the day with a lot of wonderful RFS people. I will post a photo or two to remind my readers in rural areas of what is ahead this summer.
