I would like to thank everyone for their love and support. Whether it was a visit, a phone call, a text, a message on Facebook, or just your preferred method of redirecting positive intent (prayer, positive thoughts, magic sygil, drinking a toast to my health, or vowing vengeance upon my enemies, to name a few) they are all appreciated. I also would like to apologize for worrying you. The experience in the hospital was not that bad, and after the operation grew increasingly pleasant. I got to watch several great movies, including A Hard Days Night, She, and Clash of the Titans (the original). I got to watch just enough cable news to remember why I hate cable news. I had great company every day, books, graphic novels, and my tablet. I got caught up with Sherlock, and I got a gaming fix. The pain was minimal after the operation, and totally gone two days later, and though I gladly accepted the Morphine Monday, from Tuesday evening until present, I havent needed nor taken anything (not even ibuprofen). I can even eat some solid food, as long as I cut it into small enough pieces. The staff were all fantastic. So much so that I feel a little guilty for allowing myself to be pampered. The nutritionist even came up to my room. When I explained to her my difficulty eating, and how that affected my eating, she told me that they had plenty of snacks, and if I wanted any between meals, just ask. Everyone seemed happy to see me, and I really feel it hurt the nurses as much as it hurt me. And the great people at the pharmacy were more upset at the cost of my prescription than I was. So a huge shout out to the staff of Novant: I contracted your services to keep me alive, you treated me to a pampered retreat. And I got my first CAT scan. I have wanted to get one of those ever since the first time I saw one used on an episode of The Incredible Hulk. P.S I am looking forward to the cheeseburger binge when my jaw opens enough to allow it.You guys are the best.
