I wrote a post a while back about using a road bike for training and fitness for my mountain biking; in there I mentioned that here in Colorado Springs, we have an extensive urban trail system with over 100 miles of concrete, asphalt and dirt groomed well enough that you can actually ride a road bike with 23mm road tires on it! Anyway after the post, I got a lot of questions about the trail system - so this weekend with the fall colors in spectacular glory, I threw a GoPro on my road bike and went for a lazy 19 mile Sunday ride. There are many rides up in the mountains that some will like better - but like I mentioned, this is my backyard and the trail system is strewn though out the city Colorado Spring.
